CC's Innovation Development & Entrepreneur
Assistance (IDEA) Center's mission is to get
people thinking entrepreneurially by promoting
creative thinking.
"At the IDEA Center, we work to advance the understanding
that entrepreneurship is a learned way of thinking. It's an
approach to challenges that embraces risk and problem
solving in creative and collaborative ways," said Stacie
Hargis, Entrepreneurship Program Coordinator.
"Anyone students, faculty, staff and members of the
community can bring an idea to the center to get
guidance on how to turn their ideas into reality."
Started in 2013, MCC's IDEA Center received start-up funds
from a $15,000 grant from the Coleman Foundation. The
independent foundation is committed to improving the
quality of entrepreneurship education, promoting the option
of self-employment, and helping to create a new generation
of business owners.
