Sixty-six students with GPAs of 3.7 or higher were recently
inducted into Phi Theta Kappa (PTK), the national honor society
for two-year colleges.
Recognized during the PTK Induction Ceremony on the Bedford
campus, the new honor society members were welcomed by
Steven Rossi, PTK Advisor and Director of Leadership
Development and Student Activities.
President James Mabry; Phil Sisson, Provost and Vice President
of Academic & Student Affairs; Paula Pitcher, Vice President of
Enrollment Management, Research & Planning; and David Kalivas,
Director of the Commonwealth Honors Program; gave opening
greetings. Vikram Sharma, Assistant Professor of Business,
gave the keynote address.
Leading the induction of new members were PTK Vice President
Marie Aaronian, Secretary Diana Ordonez, and Honors in Action
Chair Kevin Hau.
During the ceremony, students were called on stage individually
to receive their PTK certificates from President Mabry. As a group,
the members recited the PTK initiation pledge.
A reception with friends and family followed the ceremony.
