The Online Connection Start at Middlesex. Finish at Framingham State.
Program Overview
Through a new agreement between Middlesex and Framingham State College, students can now complete an online Associate of Arts Degree in Liberal Arts & Science or Associate of Science Degree in Liberal Studies at Middlesex Community College and easily transfer to Framingham State College’s Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Studies.
There are specific courses that students must take to maximize the transfer benefits. Follow the links below for information on specific courses to take.

Please note:
Students can transfer into other programs at Framingham however there is no guarantee that courses will meet degree requirements for those programs. This program is not eligible for Joint Admissions.
Transfer Information
- A minimum of 2.5 cumulative GPA at Middlesex is required for admission to Framingham State College
- A maximum of 68 Middlesex credits will be accepted in transfer by Framingham State College
- A minimum grade of C- is required for an Middlesex course to transfer to Framingham State College
- Students completing the Liberal Arts & Science A.A. at Middlesex will have a minimum of 60 credits transfer to Framingham State College
- Students completing the Liberal Studies A.S. at Middlesex will have a minimum of 60 credits transfer to Framingham State College only if they have met the requirements of the Commonwealth Transfer Compact
Combining On-Campus and Online Courses
Students at Middlesex are free to combine on-campus courses with online courses to complete their degree. Students at Framingham State College are also free to combine on-campus and online courses to complete this program.
Financial Aid
Financial aid is available. MCC Transfer Counselors can assist you in creating a financial and academic plan that works through your entire college career.
Lab Science Requirement
To meet the requirements of this agreement, students must complete 8 credits of science which must include at least one lab science. Be aware, while students can complete the lecture component online, the lab component must be completed on-campus.
