What We Do

  • Assist and encourage aspiring teachers who want to begin or continue their career preparation at Middlesex Community College.
  • Provide Academic advising and counseling to structure an academic pathway to teacher licensure.
  • Specialize in providing current, accurate resources and information on state licensure regulations, routes to licensure, and teacher tests information and resources to enrolled education students.
  • Identify and develop opportunities for students to apply academic learning in a school setting with support of college faculty and K-12 teachers.
  • Promote teaching as a valuable and rewarding career. The Center, which maintains offices in Bedford and Lowell with a collection of up-to-date resources, provides individualized services via telephone, e-mail, and appointments.

  • Informational sessions in transfer options to baccalaureate teacher education programs.
  • Workshops and mentoring support for the Massachusetts Teacher Educator Licensure tests.
