Student Activities
Students enjoy the benefits of a campus Fitness Center, and have the opportunity to join and participate in any of the many existing student clubs, activities, and organizations.

Low Tuition and Fees
Transition students pay the same tuition and fees as those students enrolled in traditional Middlesex programs.

Placement Assistance
Graduates are offered the following services at no additional charge:

  • Job groups during the academic year to assist unemployed and underemployed graduates
  • Individual job seeking assistance and referral

THE PROGRAM

  • The Transition Program is a two year, noncredit certificate program located on the Bedford Campus of Middlesex Community College.
  • The Transition Program is designed for young adults with significant learning disabilities who would find traditional college-level academics too challenging, even with extensive support services.
  • The Transition Program helps students achieve their potential through special courses and hands-on experience in work settings.
  • Small class size ensures that students receive individualized attention and a program tailored to meet their unique needs.
  • Students receive nontransferable completion units. Graduates receive a Certificate of Completion in Clerical and Business Support.
COURSES
Students in the Transition Program complete specially designed courses each semester in the following areas:
  • Vocational Preparation in Clerical and Business Support Skills
  • Independent Living Skills
  • Personal and Social Development
  • Job Survival Skills
  • Job Seeking Skills
