Starting on September 8, 2009 Middlesex will offer students, faculty and staff community service opportunities in a variety of community organizations. This year-long intiative will provide one-time service events and longer term projects. Over the course of the 2009-2010 academic year, MCC will once again work to “be the change” in our local communities.
Seasons of Service will provide students, faculty and staff service opportunities to meet identified needs in our neighboring communities while striving to surpass the goal of the 2400 hours performed on last year’s Day of Service. Members of the MCC campus community may participate in Seasons of Service with the college’s Center for Community Engagement, choose from a variety of service opportunities, and record their service hours as part of the Seasons of Service initiative. Service projects will be available on specific days and with flexible schedules. You can choose to participate with your academic department, class, club, or as an individual.
