At some point in the future, technology experts anticipate that shoppers will no longer stand in long check-out lines. In the Fall of 2006, supported by a President’s Community Based Job Training Grant from the U.S. Department of Labor, Middlesex Community College launched the first comprehensive college based RFID Technician Training Program in New England. Program graduates will be able to install, test, and maintain RFID systems, as well as instruct customers and other users.
