Face to Face Mediation Services

Working in cooperation with The Commonwealth of Massachusetts Office of the Attorney General

Face to Face Mediation is a method of resolving disputes and conflicts in a confidential and informal setting. It is a voluntary process and works best when both parties are willing to participate, demonstrating their desire to resolve the dispute. In 1983, the office of the Attorney General pioneered the innovative Face to Face Mediation Program as an addition to the continuum of services the office provides for consumers. There are nine community mediation programs including Middlesex Mediation.

Mediation is available to residents and businesses of the following towns and cities: *Ashby, Ayer, Billerica, Burlington, Dracut, Dunstable, Chelmsford, Groton, Littleton, Lowell, Lunenburg, N. Reading, Pepperell, Reading, Shirley, Tewksbury, Tyngsboro, Westford, Wilmington, and Woburn.

To obtain mediation services or to ask questions about our program, please call 978-656-3342 and ask for the Mediation Coordinator or e-mail mediation@middlesex.mass.edu.

*If you live outside of these communities, we can direct you to a mediation service near you.
