PART-TIME EMPLOYMENT ON CAMPUS
The Financial Aid Office administers the Federal Work Study program which provides jobs for eligible students with financial need. It allows a student to earn money to help pay educational expenses. The program encourages community service work and work related to the student's course of study. Interested students should contact the Financial Aid Office to determine their eligibility for financial aid and to explore the opportunities available under the FWS program.
The Middlesex Student Union Government Association (SUGA) underwrites a small number of on-campus student internships. The paid internships, which are housed in college departments on both the Bedford and the Lowell campuses, offer students the opportunity to learn valuable skills. To be eligible a student must be registered for at least 9 credits and have and maintain a minimum grade point average of 2.00. To see a current listing of SUGA internships contact the Student Activities Office.
Occasionally college departments will employ student workers within their departments to supplement permanent staff. Students may be hired as tutors, clerks, computer support technicians, or library aides. These positions will be listed in the Career Services Office.
