SALARY:
Salary Grade 7 ($56,100 - $84,200). Starting salary within this range is dependent upon experience in a closely related position.

Position: Registrar
Under the leadership of the Dean of Enrollment Services and in close collaboration with the Associate Dean for Academic, Career and Transfer Counseling, the Registrar is responsible for planning, managing, supervising, reporting and advising on all activities related to academic records, conferral of degrees, course registration, classroom schedules, and related areas.
Essential Functions:
- Responsible for creating and maintaining a welcoming, efficient environment in the Department
- Responsible for designing and implementing flexible, student-friendly student enrollment processes for all MCC credit, non-credit, day and evening students that is fully integrated with Admissions, Academic Counseling, Placement Testing, Financial Aid, Enrollment Communications and Support, Community Education and Student Billing including in-person, on-line, by phone, and by mail.
- Responsible for the implementation, maintenance and use of SCT Banner, Resource25, Degree Works, SARS Appointment and other related software and technology mediated enrollment services.
- Responsible for the development and maintenance of departmental web sites and contribute to the development and maintenance of divisional web sites.
- Responsible for creating a programmatically integrated schedule of classes that meets the needs of day and evening students, adheres to all faculty contract obligations and maximizes the efficient use of institutional classroom and laboratory resources for the Fall, Spring and Summer semesters.
- Responsible for maintaining and publishing all current and historic official degree and certificate requirements, courses descriptions, course prerequisites and co-requisites in printed and electronic formats
- Responsible for designing and implementing all phases of the graduation application and review process.
- Responsible for certifying the completion of all degree and certificate program requirements and awarding degrees.
- Responsible for creating, implementing and monitoring flexible, efficient, accurate mid-term and final grading processes for all credit courses, including a web-based option for faculty.
- Responsible for the development and dissemination of a college-wide final examination schedule
- Responsible for insuring that all MCC student and institutional electronic and physical records are accurately maintained and secured in accordance with institutional policies and state and federal regulations.
- Responsible for canceling credit courses for low enrollment in collaboration with Division Deans and with appropriate consideration of mitigating factors.
- Responsible for hiring, training, supervising and evaluating assigned staff
- Responsible for training all Enrollment Communications and Support, Academic, Career and Transfer Counseling, Student Information Center, Admissions, Financial Aid on enrollment related processes and procedures.
- Other duties as assigned by the Dean of Enrollment Services
Minimum Qualification:
Bachelors Degree required and Masters Degree or equivalent experience preferred.
A minimum of three years experience in the delivery of student support services in a college setting or equivalent experience in a non-academic setting, experience in a Registrar’s Office preferred
A minimum of two years of direct supervisory experience
Demonstrated understanding of, and commitment to, the community college mission and student population
Experience in, and/or knowledge of, working with students, staff and faculty of diverse socioeconomic, cultural, and ethnic backgrounds, including those with different levels of academic preparation and varying physical and learning abilities
Demonstrated ability to design, implement and maintain large scale, applications, such as Banner, Degree Works, Resource25 and to create and maintain web sites.
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with college deans, faculty and staff
Outstanding written and oral communications skills
Outstanding interpersonal and presentation skills
