This course is recommended for registered dental hygienists in preparation for the NERB exam in local anesthesia. MCC complies with the Mass. Board of Registration in Dentistry regulations for the administration of local anesthesia. At completion, RDH will be able to administer safe, effective, and painless local anesthesia with confidence and competence. The course consists of a 40 hour on-line pre-study prior to clinical, interactive presentations, and a 3 day clinical training in which students will give and receive 30 injections. The strength of this hands-on course is the amount of actual time you will administer injections to your classmates. Upon successful completion, students will be awarded a certificate and 56 CEU's and be prepared to take the NERB exam. Note: Students will be required to submit appropriate forms, copy of current CPR card, copy of RDH license; and take a 40 hour online pre-study prior to clinical.

Note: In addition to the above forms, a copy of your valid RDH license and valid CPR certification are required. All forms are required before a student can begin the online pre-study. RDH License and CPR card msut be valid through March 15, 2010.
