Health Insurance

Chapter 23 of the General Laws of Massachusetts requires that all students enrolled in nine or more credit hours participate in the College Student Medical and Accident Insurance Plan.  The requirements may be waived for students who already have comparable health insurance by completing a waiver form which can be found by clicking on the waiver link listed below.

Please note: The following can not be used to waive the insurance.
*Students enrolled in Commonwealth Care.
*Students enrolled in free care at a hospital.
*Students with an insurance policy of a foreign carrier.
*Students enrolled in Mass Health and are a dependant of their parent/parents.

Please note:  Middlesex Community College no longer offers a plan through University Health Plans for students who are enrolled in fewer than nine credits or for family members of a student.  If you need health insurance for yourself and you are registered for fewer than nine credits or for a family member regardless of how many credits you are registered for, please visit www.mahealthconnector.org  or call 1-877-623-6765 to see what insurance plan you might be eligible for through the Massachusetts health care program.
